Staff

Andris Zobs, Executive Director   Andris Zobs, Executive Director

Andris first became interested in sustainability as a craftsman and residential contractor. This experience gave him the opportunity to see first hand what was wrong about our buildings. This led him to study architecture and design, focusing on new innovations in materials and methods, particularly digital fabrication. As Buidling Director for ORE, he applied his technical knowledge of construction to the development of policies and programs. Andris has been with ORE since 2008 and became Executive Director in 2010. Andris has an BA in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Architecture. He lives in Crested Butte with his wife and son.

Interns and Volunteers

As a non-profit organization, ORE's real success depends on its many volunteers and in-kind donations. We could not achieve all our successes without the support of the Gunnison Valley community. People help us with financial contributions, promotion of our programs, attendance at our events, and an eagerness to learn about energy efficiency and renewable energies.

Our dedicated interns spend many hours working on ORE projects and most importantly, numerous individuals generously devote their time towards making ORE flourish.

We continuously offer exciting projects to interested volunteers and interns. For more information, see Internships and Volunteer Opportunities.
